Branch Manager in Louisiana

Job Snapshot

Job Description

We’re seeking a driven and relationship-focused Branch Manager for one of our clients’ retail location, part of a well-established agricultural cooperative. This branch has strong roots in the community, and while we’re not in a crisis, we’re ready to invest in the right person to bring it back to top performance and long-term stability.

This is an ideal role for someone ready to take the next step—whether you're a team lead, supervisor, or someone with a few years of ag retail experience who thrives on customer interaction, accountability, and follow-through.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a small ag retail location with three team members.
  • Act as the face of the branch—build and maintain customer relationships with area farmers and ag partners.
  • Build service reputation by delivering on promises: under promise and over deliver is key.
  • Collaborate with agronomists and other experienced branch managers across our coop network to learn and grow in the role.
  • Manage product, inventory, customer orders, and general branch duties.
  • Guide and support team members while fostering a positive, results-driven environment.
  • Step into a leadership role that may grow over time—this is a long-term opportunity, not a stopgap.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Personality first. We’re open to candidates from within or outside the ag coop world, but must come from crop production in the agriculture industry.
  • Extraverted, accountable, and honest—we want someone who can talk honestly, not just say what people want to hear.
  • Willing to train, ask questions, and lean on others in the coop for knowledge and support.
  • Comfortable in a leadership role, even if you haven’t held the title of “Manager” before.
  • Someone with the drive to move the branch forward, not just hold the line.
  • Open to sales conversations and relationship-building—it’s a big part of the job.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through—you’ll be trusted to deliver what you say.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $65,000 – $75,000
    • Up to $80,000 for a rockstar with strong fit and leadership potential
  • Company Truck included
  • Health Insurance + PTO
    • Includes an extra local health benefit to assist with deductibles
  • Retirement:
    • Coop pension plan
    • 401(k) with 2% match + 50% match up to 4%

Why This Role is Open:

The prior long-term manager retired.  While the current manager is holding steady operationally, it’s clear he’s not the long-term fit and he would prefer to move back into operations. We’ve both recognized it, and we’re ready to fix it.

This isn’t a mess—this is an opportunity to step into a stable branch, make it your own, and grow into a long-term leadership role in the coop.

Next Steps:

Phone interviews will start soon – we’re taking a selective, thoughtful approach to finding the right person.
