Second Shift Maintenance Manager – Food Manufacturing

Bergen County, NJ
$100,000–$140,000 + Benefits
Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM–1:30 AM

A growing food manufacturing client is seeking a hands-on Second Shift Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations in a highly automated production facility. This is an opportunity to take ownership of shift performance, develop a strong technical team, and directly improve equipment uptime, reliability, and production results.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop the second-shift maintenance team.

  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and daily work assignments.

  • Troubleshoot industrial electrical, mechanical, automation, and robotic systems.

  • Improve CMMS execution, equipment reliability, MTBF, and MTTR.

  • Partner with Production and Engineering to reduce downtime.

  • Maintain strong safety, GMP, sanitation, LOTO, and OSHA standards.

  • Manage contractors, vendors, spare parts, and shift handoffs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Maintenance leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge.

  • Experience with automation, robotics, packaging, freezing, cooking, or food-processing equipment.

  • Proven ability to lead technicians and manage competing maintenance priorities.

  • Food or beverage manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
