Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in Virginia
• Strong understanding of the Virginia Code of Civil Procedure
• Thorough knowledge of legal terminology, key discovery statutes, principles and procedures
• ABA Paralegal Certificate

Duties:

• Summarize and index documents
• Develop and implement databases to manage, sort, index, analyze and summarize large volumes of data
• Assist attorneys in trial preparation
• Prepare documents for discovery, including motions, depositions and document productions
• Perform legal research
• Prepare court filings, draft and issue subpoenas
