Senior Litigation Attorney (Appellate Focus Required)
Location: Dallas, TX

About the Opportunity

I am working directly with the leadership of a respected Dallas litigation boutique that represents middle-market companies, insurers, real estate interests, and financial stakeholders in complex commercial disputes. The firm is known for its hands-on partner involvement, high-level work, and business-minded litigation strategy.

The firm is adding a Senior Litigation Attorney with 8+ years of experience to its commercial litigation team. This role requires a strong appellate background and is ideal for an attorney who not only handles sophisticated trial-level litigation, but also plays a key role in shaping legal strategy through dispositive and appellate briefing. You will serve as a strategic advisor to clients, manage complex matters end-to-end, and help develop junior attorneys.

This is a full-time, in-office position offering significant responsibility and a clear long-term growth track.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial litigation matters from initial pleadings through trial and appeal
• Lead and draft high-level dispositive motions and appellate briefs
• Manage written discovery, depositions (including experts), and overall case strategy
• Appear in court for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings
• Analyze legal issues with an appellate lens to shape case strategy early
• Supervise and mentor junior associates
• Maintain direct client contact and provide practical, business-oriented counsel

What We Need

•  J.D. and an active Texas law license
• 8+ years of commercial litigation experience
• Required: meaningful appellate experience, including drafting appellate briefs and/or handling appeals
• Strong motion practice and legal writing background (critical)
• Experience with insurance coverage disputes is highly preferred
• Trial experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of business entities and financial issues
• Proven ability to independently manage a demanding docket
