Project Engineer – Commercial Construction (Madison, WI)

A well-established commercial General Contractor in the Madison area is hiring a Project Engineer to support planning and execution on industrial, healthcare, education, corporate, and institutional projects. Ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who wants growth in a collaborative, high-performing culture that values safety, quality, and long-term success.

What you’ll do

  • Support Project Managers/Superintendents with daily coordination and execution

  • Review drawings, specs, and submittals; track RFIs and change orders

  • Coordinate with subcontractors; assist with schedules and cost tracking

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reports

  • Partner with field teams to uphold safety and quality standards

  • Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners

  • Participate in meetings, progress updates, and closeout

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related

  • 1–5 years of commercial construction experience (internships count)

  • Solid understanding of construction methods, drawings, and materials

  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Office

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Self-driven, detail-focused, and team-oriented
