A well-established and reputable Commercial General Contractor in the Madison, WI area is seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning and execution of complex commercial construction projects across industrial, healthcare, education, corporate, and institutional sectors.

Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals
Track and manage RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
Assist in subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and cost tracking
Maintain accurate records for project progress and reporting
Collaborate with field teams to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
Communicate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners
Participate in meetings, progress updates, and closeout procedures
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
1–5 years of experience in commercial construction (internships included)
Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and materials
Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Team-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to take initiative
