A respected California law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex financial services and commercial lending matters for a diverse client base, with flexibility to be based in either the Los Angeles or Fresno office.
The Role
The attorney will represent lenders and financial institutions in creditors’ rights and bankruptcy litigation, as well as support transactional finance matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid- to senior-level attorney to take on substantive responsibility in a busy and collaborative practice.
Key Responsibilities
Handle creditors’ rights and bankruptcy litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Advise lender-side clients on financial services issues, loan servicing, and regulatory compliance.
Draft and negotiate commercial loan documentation, including secured and unsecured credits, revolving lines, formula-based transactions, letters of credit, participation agreements, and syndicated credit facilities.
Provide guidance on commercial loan servicing and government regulatory issues.
Collaborate with partners and clients on high-value, complex matters.
Qualifications
J.D. and active California bar license.
4–8+ years of experience in financial services law, with a focus on the lender side.
Solid experience in creditors’ rights and bankruptcy litigation.
Strong background in commercial lending transactions and loan documentation.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and litigation skills.
Ability to manage cases and transactions with minimal supervision.
Compensation
Salary range: $165,000 – $185,000, commensurate with experience.
