We’re Hiring: Controls Project Engineer with potential for growth!!
Are you a hands-on Controls Engineer who’s also got the drive to lead? This unique role offers the best of both worlds: the chance to design and program custom control systems today, while growing into the Controls Department Manager of tomorrow.
What You’ll Do:
Take projects from concept to startup — designing, programming, and making it all come to life
Work with PLCs, HMIs, drives, motion controllers, and more (Rockwell experience is a big plus)
Partner with engineers, designers, and customers to tackle unique challenges and deliver solutions
Lead and mentor a talented team as you transition into a management role
Help shape schedules, resources, and process improvements to keep everything running smoothly
Travel about 15–20% for exciting startup projects (with less travel as you move into management)
What We’re Looking For:
5–10 years of controls design, programming, and implementation experience
Solid skills with Rockwell Control Logix & Guard Logix PLCs, HMIs, Kinetix motion controllers, and AC/DC drives
Strong communicator — able to explain the technical to non-technical folks (and vice versa)
Organized, detail-oriented, and great at juggling multiple projects
Leadership potential and a genuine interest in growing into a department lead
Bonus points for AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience!
