Employee Benefits Attorney in Fort Wayne

Job Description

A well-established legal team is seeking a skilled Employee Benefits Attorney to join their practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with deep experience in employee benefits law who is passionate about delivering high-quality legal counsel to a diverse client base.

While there is a strong preference for an attorney who can work onsite, a hybrid arrangement may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic legal advice on a full spectrum of employee benefits matters, including retirement plans, executive compensation, and health and welfare plans.
• Ensure clients remain compliant with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other applicable federal and state regulations.
• Draft and review plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and client communications.
• Represent clients in interactions with regulatory agencies, including the IRS and DOL.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 3 years of focused experience in employee benefits law.
• Proficient in ERISA, the IRC, and related legal frameworks.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capable of managing multiple matters independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
