Senior Counsel

$200,000–$240,000 + Bonus + ESOP

My client is seeking a Senior Counsel to serve as a strategic legal advisor to a growing employee-owned organization within the construction and AEC industries.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit on the sidelines reviewing contracts. The attorney selected will work directly with executives and operations leaders to negotiate major agreements, manage risk, support project teams, and help drive business decisions on contracts frequently exceeding $100 million in value.

What You'll Do

  • Negotiate complex construction, engineering, and commercial agreementsl
  • Advise leadership and operations teams on contractual risk and strategy
  • Review subcontractor, supplier, and vendor agreements
  • Support projects through execution, claims, disputes, and contract administration issues
  • Manage outside counsel and dispute resolution efforts
  • Develop contract standards, playbooks, and scalable legal processes

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of legal experience
  • Significant construction contracting experience
  • Strong understanding of risk allocation and project delivery
  • Experience negotiating sophisticated construction agreements
  • Design-build, design-assist, or engineering-services experience is highly valued
  • Practical business judgment and the ability to provide actionable advice to non-legal stakeholders
