Job Title: Scheduling & Project Coordinator

Location: Maspeth, NY

Schedule: Full-Time | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Hybrid Eligible (primarily in-person)

Reports To: Executive Leadership

About the Company: A well-established and highly respected environmental contracting firm with 30+ years of experience in the New York City market is seeking a Scheduling & Project Coordinator. This company specializes in asbestos abatement and operates across both public and private sectors, with a focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

About the Role: As the Scheduling & Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the daily scheduling of field operations, coordinating with multiple internal departments, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects stay on track. This is a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily job activities with field supervisors, subcontractors, air monitoring firms, and internal teams.
  • Partner with the filing department to ensure permits, job readiness, and notifications are handled.
  • Track project milestones and coordinate manpower and resources.
  • Communicate with team members to resolve scheduling conflicts and field issues.
  • Manage logistics for equipment rentals, materials delivery, and site access.
  • Stay current with NYC/NYS asbestos abatement regulations.
  • Prepare and distribute daily/weekly scheduling updates.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for schedule-related questions from field staff and leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction scheduling or a filing department is required.
  • Experience in asbestos abatement or environmental contracting is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of NYC/NYS asbestos regulations.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software (Excel, Smartsheet, or similar).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation Range:
  • $55,000 – $70,000 for mid-level candidates
  • $70,000 – $85,000 for candidates with deep asbestos regulatory or operations knowledge
