Associate Attorney – Employment Law (San Diego)

A well-established mid-sized law firm, consistently honored as a Best Place to Work for over a decade, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its San Diego litigation team. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of civil litigation experience, with a strong focus on supporting employment class action cases, including wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims. This position provides the opportunity to collaborate closely with partners and associates on complex litigation matters from start to finish. The role features a hybrid schedule with three days in the office, comprehensive top-tier benefits fully paid for employees, and a collaborative, supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize litigation documents, exhibits, and evidence
  • Conduct investigations, background checks, and prepare subpoenas
  • Assist with discovery, medical chronologies, and legal research
  • Coordinate with experts and support trial preparation, including witness and jury tasks
  • Communicate regularly with attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Maintain 1500 billable hours annually

Qualifications:

  • ABA-accredited paralegal certificate
  • 3+ years civil litigation experience, preferably with class actions or employment law
  • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of California and Federal civil procedure
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Trial preparation experience preferred
