A well-established organization in Northwest Iowa is seeking a highly organized and people-focused Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist to join its HR team. This individual will lead recruiting and onboarding efforts, coordinate internship and career outreach programs, and support initiatives that promote a positive and compliant workplace culture. Talent Acquisition Specialist Duties:
Lead full-cycle recruitment across multiple departments
Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and employee check-ins
Manage internship and scholarship programs
Attend career fairs and community outreach events
Support seasonal and migrant worker onboarding
Maintain accurate HR data and compliance documentation
Partner with managers to drive engagement and retention
Travel occasionally to hiring events and job sites
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or onboarding
Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred)
Working knowledge of labor laws and compliance best practices
Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing temporary or seasonal labor
Background in rural or multi-site environments
Campus or ointernship program coordination experience
