Water/Wastewater Engineer

This company is a leading, employee-owned civil engineering firm in South Central PA that delivers innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions. We take immense pride in our environmental team’s pivotal role in managing water quality for our communities. Our team is comprised of approximately 90 individuals – we have offices spread across southern Pennsylvania.

Water/Wastewater Engineering Role

As an integral team member, you will be responsible for planning, permitting, and designing water and wastewater projects, including sewer collection systems, pumping facilities, water and wastewater treatment plants, and water distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to assess community water and wastewater needs
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, including system design, cost estimates, and project timelines
  • Plan, permit, and design water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate project schedules and deliverables
  • Work with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer license in the state of Pennsylvania
  • 7+ Years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on water and wastewater projects

  • Negotiable on vacation (we would offer for this candidate 3 or 4 weeks to start)
  • Sign on bonus - negotiable
  • Sick time benefits: 48 hours earned every year, accrued. Once you hit 200 hours of sick time, the excess can be either rolled over into vacation OR paid out at the end of the year

    • Comp Time: Hours worked in excess of 40 may be allocated to comp time to use at a later date within that same year
    • Flexibility in scheduling: core office hours are 9 am to 3 pm, so employees can flex their start/stop times around these hours as necessary.
