Director of Project Management – Civil Construction
We are seeking an experienced Director of Project Management to lead and oversee project management operations within a growing civil construction organization. This role is ideal for a proven leader with a strong background in heavy civil projects and the ability to manage both people and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Project Management team across multiple civil construction projects
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and profitably
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to Project Managers and staff
- Monitor project performance including budgets, schedules, and risk management
- Implement and improve processes, systems, and best practices across the department
- Collaborate with executives, field leadership, and clients
- Support business development efforts and help maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications:
- 10–15+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
- Strong background as a Project Manager, with some field experience preferred
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and multiple projects
- Deep understanding of civil construction operations and project delivery
- Strong local market knowledge and established industry relationships
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
