Real Estate Associate (Mid-Level) – Pittsburgh, PA
Position Description:
As a Real Estate attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel on a wide range of commercial real estate transactional matters, including acquisition, ownership, disposition, financing, development, and leasing. The Real Estate team assists clients in commercial acquisitions, sale and lease transactions, and complex development projects including multi-use and/or multi-tenant projects, shopping centers, condominiums and planned communities, and projects involving historic tax credits or other tax credit structures.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing legal counsel to clients on a wide range of real estate issues, including acquisition, ownership, disposition, financing, development, and leasing
- Addressing legal questions regarding land use and zoning matters, restrictive covenants, and more
- Facilitating real estate and loan closings
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, purchase and sale agreements, easements, developer agreements, and other documents related to real estate transactions
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and policies
- Conducting legal research, and analyzing complex real estate issues
- Collaborating with internal real estate team and clients to ensure successful completion of real estate deals
Candidate Qualifications
- 3+ years in real estate law
- Juris Doctorate degree
- Must be licensed in Pennsylvania
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word
- Advanced legal research and technical writing skills, including proficiency with legal research tools including WestLaw and Practical Law
- Strong academic and employment credentials
- Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills
- Good interpersonal interaction skills
- Well-organized with excellent attention to detail
- Proven track record of performance
Working Conditions:
- Primarily an office environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Regularly navigates the office and uses office equipment (phones, copier, printer, mail machine, A/V equipment, etc.)
- Consistently uses a computer and other equipment that requires keyboarding
- Prolonged periods of focus and attention to detail
- Consistently requires communication with others (phone, email, in person, Teams, etc.)
- Regularly engages in activities that have productivity and time driven requirements
- Some lifting and moving, such as files and other items up to 15 pounds

Position Details:
- Full-time, salaried position.
- The position is to be performed in person in our Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office.
- Monday – Friday with expected hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (work may fall outside of these hours at times).
