A highly respected and long-established MEP consulting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer, PE to take on a lead role in launching a new regional office. This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking, design-focused team with deep expertise in healthcare, higher education, research, and commercial building systems.

We are looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial engineer with strong technical skills and leadership ability who is ready to help shape the future of a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the local technical lead and office representative

  • Lead electrical engineering design efforts from concept through construction

  • Build and mentor a local team of engineers and designers

  • Develop and maintain client relationships across the region

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and design quality

  • Collaborate closely with leadership at other office locations

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in electrical engineering

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical building systems design

  • Proven experience in healthcare, higher education, or research facility projects

  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and relevant codes/standards

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with lighting and power design software a plus

  • Excellent communication and project leadership skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead and grow a regional office
