About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Agricultural/Commercial Lender to join our lending team. This role combines expertise in agricultural finance with commercial lending, providing tailored financial solutions to farmers, agribusinesses, and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive in developing relationships, evaluating credit risk, and supporting the growth of our clients’ businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and grow lending relationships with agricultural and commercial customers
- Analyze financial statements, credit data, and collateral to evaluate loan applications
- Structure loan packages that meet clients’ needs while adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide expert guidance on loan products, credit options, and repayment terms
- Monitor loan portfolio performance and work proactively to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with credit analysts and underwriting teams to prepare comprehensive credit proposals
- Participate in community and industry events to build networks and promote lending services
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agricultural, commercial, and economic market trends
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum [X] years of experience in agricultural and/or commercial lending
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, underwriting, and loan structuring
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- Solid knowledge of agricultural production and commercial business operations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
