Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney – El Segundo, CA

A respected litigation firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced litigator looking to work on complex commercial disputes while benefiting from hands-on mentorship and clear opportunities for long-term growth. Responsibilities

• Manage commercial litigation matters from discovery through trial preparation
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Appear at hearings and participate in court proceedings
• Develop case strategy and support complex litigation matters
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to move cases forward efficiently

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• 5–15 years of civil litigation experience
• Experience in commercial litigation, professional liability, employment, and/or personal injury preferred
• Strong motion practice experience, including drafting and arguing motions
• Experience handling depositions and court appearances
• Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures
• Trial experience or meaningful trial preparation experience strongly preferred
• Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
