About the Role:
As an Agricultural Loan Officer, you’ll play a vital role in providing financial solutions tailored to the unique needs of farmers and rural business owners. This isn’t just about cold calling — you’ll meet face-to-face with clients, building trust and understanding their business inside and out. Your expertise will help guide them through loan options and credit solutions, ensuring they receive the best support for their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain lending relationships with existing customers
  • Proactively reach out to prospective borrowers and cultivate new business
  • Explain loan products and credit options clearly and effectively
  • Analyze credit information and prepare detailed credit analyses
  • Combine agricultural and business insights to create customized financial solutions
  • Manage and grow an existing loan portfolio
  • Represent the bank at community and industry events

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of agricultural lending experience preferred
  • Experience in credit and underwriting is a strong plus
  • Degree in agricultural business, business, accounting, or finance preferred
  • Solid understanding of agriculture and the rural economy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Family-oriented mindset with a passion for helping others in the Ag industry
