An established employee-owned mechanical contractor is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to lead front-end planning for large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. This role focuses on conceptual estimating, cost strategy, and early-stage collaboration with design, engineering, and construction partners.
Develop and manage budgets, conceptual estimates, and schedules during preconstruction
Lead scope definition, bid packaging, and value engineering analysis
Collaborate closely with internal engineering, BIM, and fabrication teams
Interface with owners, architects, and GCs to provide clear project direction
Ensure proposals and preconstruction deliverables are accurate and completed on time
5+ years in mechanical preconstruction, estimating, or project planning
Strong knowledge of HVAC and piping systems
Proven experience preparing conceptual budgets and supporting design-assist efforts
Excellent communication, client-facing, and organizational skills
