Director of Preconstruction – Commercial/Industrial Construction
Are you energized by shaping complex projects from the very beginning? A highly respected commercial and industrial contractor is seeking a Director of Preconstruction to lead all preconstruction efforts—driving collaboration, accuracy, and innovation from concept through contract.
What You’ll Do
Oversee all preconstruction activities: estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk assessment.
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of estimators and coordinators.
Develop and present bid packages and proposals with precision and clarity.
Partner closely with clients and internal teams to guide projects through early planning stages.
Ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to construction execution.
Leverage industry-standard tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera, Civil 3D, and HeavyBid.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of experience in preconstruction/estimating within commercial or industrial construction.
Strong background in project scheduling and construction management.
Skilled in blueprint/technical drawing interpretation.
Proven leadership ability with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required.
