Job Title: Diesel Technician – Heavy-Duty Fleet Maintenance
Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking fleet operation, is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join their growing team. The Diesel Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a diverse fleet to ensure it meets DOT and company safety standards. The ideal Diesel Technician will bring a strong mechanical background, the ability to work independently, and a desire to be part of a collaborative, safety-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and related equipment, including engine, chassis, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Utilize onboard computer systems and diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issues
Perform preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) and ensure compliance with DOT standards
Collaborate with drivers to identify concerns and ensure repairs are timely and accurate
Accurately estimate time and material costs; requisition and install replacement parts
Respond to unscheduled service calls and complete on-site repairs when needed
Maintain clean, organized workspaces and uphold all safety and OSHA standards
Read and interpret service manuals and technical documents
Uphold the company’s commitment to quality service, safety, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience working on diesel trucks
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic systems
Welding experience preferred, but not required
Must have own tools and a valid driver’s license
Highly organized, safety-conscious, and self-motivated
Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
Schedule & Work Conditions:
Full-time role with eligibility for company benefits
Regular hours Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm; occasional Saturday shifts required
Non-exempt position (eligible for overtime pay)
Physically demanding environment; exposure to noise, dust, fluids, and various weather conditions
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and safely operate equipment/tools
