Insurance Coverage Attorney Position Overview:
A well-established defense firm is seeking an experienced attorney with significant insurance coverage and coverage litigation experience to join its growing practice. The firm is open to hiring a lateral attorney at either the non-equity partner or of counsel level. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value coverage matters with national and regional insurers, with meaningful client contact and flexibility in work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle complex insurance coverage and coverage litigation matters for insurance carrier clients
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and manage declaratory judgment actions
• Develop litigation strategies, draft pleadings, and handle discovery and dispositive motions
• Advise clients on risk exposure, coverage disputes, and resolution strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications:
• Significant experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation (defense side required)
• Proven ability to manage cases and client relationships independently
• Admission to practice law in Arizona preferred; candidates admitted in another state and willing to seek Arizona admission will be considered
• Must reside in Arizona for position
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
