Job Description

gpac is working with a well-established food manufacturer that is seeking a Maintenance Manager for their facility in the Minneapolis area of Minnesota.

This company has been around for 60 plus years and what they are looking for is a hands-on leader with a background in food or meat processing to take charge of their maintenance operations — someone who can lead from the floor, build out preventative maintenance programs, and bring real structure and accountability to a solid team that needs direction.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage a team of technicians – providing structure, accountability, and support
  • Create and execute a preventative maintenance (PM) program
  • Oversee multiple-day shutdowns, equipment repairs, and installations
  • Order parts, manage inventory, and control maintenance spend
  • Set the example for OSHA, food safety, and clean working standards
  • Be on the floor — this is not a behind-the-desk role
  • Work closely with ownership and plant leadership to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure the plant is always left in better shape than it was found

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintain a positive attitude
  • Punctual, dependable and reliable
  • Computer knowledge is preferred

Salary range: $100k to $140k
