We’re hiring! A respected litigation firm is seeking a seasoned Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our growing legal team in either Charleston or Wheeling, West Virginia. If you bring 5+ years of paralegal experience, enjoy case-building from the ground up, and thrive in a collaborative environment—this is your chance to make a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing:
✔️ Assist attorneys with case management from intake through trial
✔️ Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and legal briefs
✔️ Create detailed medical chronologies and case timelines
✔️ Organize electronic files, deposition materials, and trial exhibits
✔️ Summarize medical and employment records
✔️ Prepare for and support at depositions and court proceedings
✔️ Maintain accurate calendaring and docket deadlines
✔️ E-file documents in state and federal courts
What You Bring to the Team:
🔹 5+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in medical malpractice or defense litigation
🔹 Strong working knowledge of civil rules and discovery procedures
🔹 Experience with legal billing and timekeeping
🔹 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
🔹 Detail-oriented and highly organized
🔹 Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows 10
🔹 Able to work independently and support a fast-moving team
What We Offer:
💰 Salary range: $55,000 – $65,000, depending on experience
