Position: Senior Business & Commercial Litigation Attorney
Location: Houston, TX (In-Office)
Compensation: $250,000+ base (DOE) + Bonus
Billable Requirement: 173 hours/month (~2,076/year)
Experience Required: 10+ years
About the Opportunity: A respected Houston-based law firm is seeking a Senior Business & Commercial Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of experience to join its high-level litigation team. This is a full-time, in-office role for a litigator ready to take ownership of complex matters, collaborate with elite peers, and grow within a dynamic and well-supported legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a wide variety of business and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
Direct all phases of litigation, including strategy, discovery, motions, hearings, and trial prep
Advocate in court for corporate and business clients in high-stakes disputes
Provide strategic counsel in matters involving contracts, shareholder disputes, business torts, etc.
Mentor junior attorneys and coordinate with support staff to efficiently manage caseloads
Maintain a monthly billable expectation of 173 hours
Preferred (Not Required) Experience:
Trial experience – first or second chair
TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) and TI (Temporary Injunction) litigation
Emergency relief and injunction strategy and execution
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant business/commercial litigation experience
Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
Excellent writing, research, and litigation strategy skills
Self-starter with the ability to independently manage complex caseloads
Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presence
