Opportunity: Regional Crop Specialist – Independent Role (Remote – Truck-Based)
Location: Central North Dakota (Preference for local knowledge)
Compensation: $105,000–$120,000 base (DOE) + Performance Bonus
Perks: Full benefits package – health, dental, vision; Company truck + fuel card
About the Role: This role is ideal for an agronomy professional who prefers boots on the ground to behind a desk. We’re looking for someone with solid agronomic expertise—not sales-focused—who can work independently, stay connected to growers and the land, and serve as a trusted resource across Central ND.
You’ll partner with two local territory managers, provide hands-on support to customers and dealers, and play a key part in bringing agronomic insights to life in the field. You won’t be managing a team—but your knowledge will lead the way.
Your Purpose: Act as the go-to agronomic resource across your assigned territory. You’ll support the sales team, but your core focus will be agronomic support, technical fieldwork, and grower education.
Key Functions:
Provide on-site agronomic support to growers, dealers, and territory reps
Conduct visits, ride-alongs, field checks, and problem-solving calls
Lead product presentations and grower training sessions
Plan, support, and attend local plot trials, field days, and trade shows
Offer insight on product placement and competitive analysis
Strengthen relationships with university researchers and industry experts
Support testing sites, training events, and educational programs
Contribute content for marketing and grower resources
Stay current with ag technologies and help implement new tools
Support in-season seed stewardship and compliance efforts
Ideal Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field
2+ years agronomy experience in a field-based or advisory role
Familiarity with the region’s farming practices is a must
Experience with seed, crop inputs, and trial work preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated with a high level of personal accountability
You’re a Great Fit If You:
Know your way around a field and a plot book
Can explain complex crop science in a way that resonates with farmers
Enjoy working with others but also like having the independence to run your day
Are practical, personable, and results-oriented
Want a role where you can make an impact without being stuck behind a desk
Sound like a fit? This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to stay close to the land, influence farming outcomes, and be part of a network that values agronomic excellence. Let's talk.
