Job Title: General Manager – Structural Steel Fabrication
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations for a structural steel fabrication company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel fabrication and erection, team leadership, and business management. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving efficiency, quality, and profitability across all departments.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations including estimating, project management, fabrication, and field activities.
Lead and mentor department managers and staff to achieve company goals.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
Manage budgets, forecasting, and overall business performance.
Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication or construction management.
Proven leadership experience in a fabrication or erection environment.
Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, scheduling, and job costing.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to foster teamwork and a positive company culture.
