Manufacturing Engineer – Precision CNC
Summary: This role is responsible for developing manufacturing processes that meet customer requirements in a high-precision contract machining environment. The position requires strong CNC process engineering expertise to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and efficient production of tight-tolerance components.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop manufacturing methods, tooling strategies, and documented processes for CNC machining.
Provide CAD support for CAM programming activities.
Optimize set-up processes to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues while driving continuous improvement.
Generate process documentation including drawings, process sheets, and travelers.
Evaluate existing processes to eliminate inefficiencies and non-conformances.
Collaborate with supervisors and production staff to support smooth operations.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
Strong background in CNC machining and metalworking processes.
Proficient in GD&T and interpreting mechanical drawings/specifications.
Skilled in fixturing concepts, tolerance stack-ups, and process control.
Familiar with in-process inspection and precision measuring devices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
