Position Summary:
We're seeking a skilled and strategic Tax Director to lead a high-performing tax practice. This leadership role requires a detail-oriented, client-focused professional with proven experience managing complex tax operations and mentoring staff. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals with a focus on quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Manage a diverse portfolio of client engagements, including tax preparation and strategic tax planning for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
Interpret and apply current tax law while staying informed on upcoming changes.
Act as a trusted advisor for clients, providing insights that support financial and operational goals.
Collaborate with other service areas, including accounting and business advisory, to ensure seamless client service.
Implement process improvements and support the growth and scalability of the tax function.
Qualifications:
CPA certification is required.
7–10+ years of tax experience, including leadership and client advisory.
In-depth knowledge of tax regulations affecting individuals and closely held businesses.
Experience managing and developing a team in a public accounting setting.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
