Job Title: Senior Estimator – General Contractor

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our general contracting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction estimating and project management, with a proven ability to manage large-scale projects and deliver accurate, competitive bids. This leadership role requires excellent organizational skills, a deep understanding of construction methods, and proficiency with industry software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, typically valued over $5 million.

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates.

• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate scope definition.

• Manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines.

• Support contract negotiations and change order evaluations.

• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost models.

• Mentor junior estimators and provide leadership within the estimating department.

• Utilize Procore and other estimating software (Sage Estimating, Timberline, Excel) to streamline estimating processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (recommended but not required).

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management and/or estimating.

• Proven success managing projects valued over $5 million.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, cost control, and contract management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.

• Experience with estimating software such as Sage Estimating, Timberline, or Excel preferred.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
