Job Title: Senior Estimator – General Contractor
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our general contracting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction estimating and project management, with a proven ability to manage large-scale projects and deliver accurate, competitive bids. This leadership role requires excellent organizational skills, a deep understanding of construction methods, and proficiency with industry software.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, typically valued over $5 million.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate scope definition.
Manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines.
Support contract negotiations and change order evaluations.
Maintain and update estimating databases and cost models.
Mentor junior estimators and provide leadership within the estimating department.
Utilize Procore and other estimating software (Sage Estimating, Timberline, Excel) to streamline estimating processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (recommended but not required).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management and/or estimating.
Proven success managing projects valued over $5 million.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, cost control, and contract management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.
Experience with estimating software such as Sage Estimating, Timberline, or Excel preferred.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
