The Role

As a Project Engineer – Transportation, you will support and lead a variety of transportation projects while working closely with a highly collaborative team of engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary transportation project teams

  • Support and/or lead planning, design, and technical reporting efforts

  • Perform construction oversight on transportation projects

  • Provide construction management services

  • Contribute to roadway, intersection, traffic, and multi-use path projects

Ideal Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • EIT obtained or ability to secure

  • Entry-level to 5 years of transportation engineering experience

  • Exposure to roadway rehabilitation, reconstruction, intersection design, traffic signals, and traffic studies

  • Familiarity with IDOT Phase I / Phase II design and MFT requirements preferred

  • Experience with MicroStation and traffic modeling software (HCS, Synchro) is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Valid driver’s license

Compensation

Salary Range: $71,000 – $85,000 (Commensurate with experience)
