Paralegal – Defense Litigation (7+ Years Experience)
A respected and busy defense firm is seeking an experienced paralegal with a minimum of 7 years of defense litigation experience to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a highly skilled paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage complex workloads, and brings strong technical and organizational abilities to support attorneys in active defense litigation matters.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of defense litigation experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with Trial Director or other trial presentation software
- Familiarity with CaseMap, TextMap, TimeMap, and LexisNexis preferred
- Ability to multitask, organize, and support multiple cases at once
- Experience with billing, time entry, and all aspects of discovery, including e-Discovery
- Skilled in records requests, document review, redactions, expert vetting, background searches, mediation, and trial preparation
- Professional appearance and demeanor; ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive litigation support for attorneys handling complex defense litigation cases
- Prepare and manage discovery, including document production and e-Discovery tasks
- Organize, review, and summarize records, depositions, and expert materials
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness files, and presentation materials
- Handle time entry, billing support, calendaring, and case organization
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, experts, clients, and vendors in a high-level defense litigation environment
