Job Description:
GPAC has partnered with a well-established law firm seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance defense, general liability, and commercial litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation-focused attorney to work on complex and high-profile matters within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in a broad range of general liability matters, including personal injury, property damage, and premises liability cases.
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents; respond to opposing counsel’s filings.
Conduct depositions and participate in pre-trial proceedings.
Manage a full caseload from inception through resolution.
Provide clients with risk management advice and assess liability exposure.
Negotiate settlements and assist in trial preparation.
Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and support staff to ensure optimal outcomes.
Stay updated on legal trends and statutory developments related to general liability and insurance defense.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active admission to the California State Bar.
4+ years of litigation experience in general liability and/or insurance defense.
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
Experience with depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation is highly preferred.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to case strategy and resolution.
