Job Description

As a Residential Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project planning and execution process. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of residential renovation projects, ensuring that all estimates are comprehensive and competitive. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional results while maintaining profitability and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential renovation projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to gather necessary information.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather additional data for accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Analyze historical data and industry trends to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Prepare and present detailed estimate reports to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide input on project feasibility and cost-saving measures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction.
  • At least 2 years of experience in estimating residential renovation projects.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
