Litigation Associate (2–8 Years Call)

A national, full-service law firm is seeking litigation associates (2–8 years call) to join its Calgary office.


The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for litigators trained in large firm environments to join a high-performing team handling a mix of labour & employment and commercial litigation matters.

The group is looking for candidates with strong foundational training who are ready to contribute to complex files and continue developing within a sophisticated litigation practice.


Practice Focus

  • Labour & employment litigation
  • General commercial litigation


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with and manage litigation files from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other court materials
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
  • Attend mediations, discoveries, and court proceedings
  • Collaborate with partners and team members on active matters


Ideal Candidate

  • 2–8 years of litigation experience
  • Training and experience from a large firm litigation group preferred
  • Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage files and work within a team environment
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
