Senior Key Account Manager
Location: Southwest U.S. Metro Area
A growing CPG manufacturer is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager to manage and expand strategic retail partnerships in the premium pet category.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with national and regional retail partners and distributors
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase distribution and market share
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, promotions, and trade terms
- Analyze sales trends, category performance, and competitive activity
- Support forecasting, inventory alignment, and joint business planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally on commercial initiatives
- Lead business reviews with key retail partners
- Mentor junior team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- 5–7+ years of key account management in CPG, pet, or specialty consumer goods
- Strong experience managing large retail accounts
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Experience with multi-million-dollar accounts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Willingness to travel
