Insurance Defense Associate Attorney | Tampa, FL

A respected and growing Tampa litigation firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join its established practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain hands-on litigation experience, work alongside experienced litigators, and build a long-term career within a collaborative and well-supported environment.

The firm handles a broad range of insurance defense matters and is known for providing associates with meaningful responsibility, strong mentorship, and direct client exposure early in their careers.

What You’ll Do

• Represent insurance carriers and insureds through all phases of litigation
• Handle matters involving general liability, bodily injury, premises liability, construction defect, and related defense matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and coverage-related reports
• Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
• Communicate regularly with clients, carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
• Work closely with partners and support staff on litigation strategy and case management

What We’re Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
• 2+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience preferred
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
