Job Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement department and optimize our supply chain operations. In this role, you will oversee the acquisition of high-quality materials and services, negotiate vendor contracts, and drive cost-reduction strategies while ensuring timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with overall company goals to maximize value and minimize risk.
- Vendor Negotiation & Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate favorable terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Cost Optimization: Conduct rigorous spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and evaluate the performance of purchasing agents and support staff.
- Inventory Oversight: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including finance, warehouse, and operations) to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid supply chain disruptions.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing processes comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing management, or strategic sourcing.
- Negotiation Skills: Exceptional communication, networking, and contract negotiation skills.
- Analytical Aptitude: Ability to analyze market trends, interpret data, and make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with procurement/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel).
