Job Description

A well-established St. Louis law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to handle sophisticated business disputes while working alongside an experienced and collaborative litigation team.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial litigation matters through all stages of the litigation process.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Handle written discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Participate in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Work collaboratively with partners and colleagues on complex litigation matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri (required).
• Illinois licensure is strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience handling business disputes, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Ability to manage multiple matters while providing exceptional client service.
