Industrial Maintenance Electrician – Day & Night Shifts

Location: Bergen County, New Jersey
Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. | $25–$40/hour
Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m. | $30–$45/hour

A growing food manufacturing operation in Bergen County is hiring two experienced Industrial Maintenance Electricians—one for day shift and one for night shift. This is a hands-on position troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, and automated production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair 480V three-phase electrical systems
  • Diagnose PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, motor controls, and HMIs
  • Maintain production, packaging, cooking, freezing, and robotic equipment
  • Troubleshoot sensors, instrumentation, safety circuits, and control panels
  • Read electrical schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs
  • Document completed work, labor, and parts through the CMMS
  • Assist with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs when needed
  • Follow LOTO, NFPA 70E, GMP, OSHA, and food-safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
  • Strong experience troubleshooting 480V systems, VFDs, motor controls, and PLC-driven equipment
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns
  • Food or beverage manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
  • Electrical apprenticeship, trade-school training, or technical degree is preferred
  • New Jersey electrical license, journeyman card, or apprentice registration is a plus
  • Allen-Bradley, Siemens, ABB, or FANUC experience is a plus
