CDL Class A Driver – Building Materials

$65,000 - $90,000+ annually (based on experience, overtime, and route structure)

Position Overview

A well-established building materials supplier is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join their team. This position is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of construction and building materials to residential, commercial, and contractor job sites. Drivers serve as the face of the company and play a critical role in maintaining strong customer relationships through exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL Class A vehicles, including flatbeds, tractor-trailers, and boom trucks (if certified).
  • Deliver lumber, roofing, siding, drywall, insulation, and other building materials to customer locations.
  • Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Verify delivery paperwork and maintain accurate logs.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers.
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and professional appearance.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A license.
  • Clean MVR and strong safety record.
  • Ability to operate flatbed trailers and secure loads properly.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Building materials, construction supply, lumber, or roofing industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
