About the Opportunity

A litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. This role is ideally suited for a skilled practitioner looking to leverage a robust, established platform to supplement and further develop their own practice. You will work alongside senior attorneys on sophisticated construction and commercial litigation matters, enjoying both the autonomy to manage cases and the collaborative support of a seasoned team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Strategy & Evaluation: Review complex client issues, analyze available legal options, and diligently work to determine and execute the best course of action.

  • Litigation & Advocacy: Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings. Provide strategic legal counsel with the assistance of senior associate attorneys.

  • Document Drafting: Prepare high-quality correspondence and legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for negotiations and court proceedings.

  • Case Management: Organize and maintain files to ensure absolute accuracy and seamless collaboration with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

  • Efficient Resolution: Resolve cases efficiently and effectively by maintaining clear communication and working closely alongside senior attorneys and paralegals.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience handling commercial litigation, construction litigation, and/or pre-litigation construction lien and payment bond claims.

  • Education: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school.

  • Licensure: Successful completion of the bar exam and an active member in good standing with The Texas state bar.

  • Skills: Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of staff and clients.

  • Business Acumen: Ability to work strategically with senior leadership to best serve client needs and actively contribute to growing the firm's client base.
