Field Engineer

The Field Engineer plays a key role in interpreting plans and specifications, coordinating and scheduling work between subcontractors, ensuring jobsite safety, developing detailed quality checklists, managing self-performed work, conducting inspections, and reporting daily job progress to the Senior Field Engineer or Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure submittal log due dates are accurate and align with installation dates on the Master Schedule

  • Support the Project Superintendent with the development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan

  • Pursue training to prepare for future roles as a Senior Field Engineer and eventually Superintendent

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Field Engineer in the commercial construction industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (e.g., Viewpoint), and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera)

  • Strong understanding of construction management principles including safety, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, costing, and procurement

  • Ability to analyze and interpret project data

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong leadership, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, initiative, and team collaboration

  • Demonstrated ability to support all phases of project delivery, from development through closeout

Working Conditions:

  • Must be physically capable of performing job site duties, including repetitive motions, walking uneven terrain, climbing stairs and ladders, and standing or sitting for extended periods

  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment required
