Sales Specialist – Rubber Mold Release - Travel-Based Role – Midwest
A leading manufacturer in the rubber release chemical space is looking for a hands-on, driven Sales Specialist to join their growing team. This is a territory-based role where you’ll take over an established customer base and be expected to grow the market through new business development. What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage and grow B2B relationships with existing clients in the rubber molding and mold release chemical industries.
Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities to expand the client base within the assigned territory.
Own the entire sales process from lead generation to closing the sale, ensuring a smooth transition into long-term account management.
Conduct hands-on product demonstrations and technical discussions on-site at customer facilities.
Learn and become fluent in the company’s catalog of 45 products related to this role.
Collaborate with internal product experts to ensure solutions are properly tailored to each client’s application.
Maintain a consistent travel schedule to support current customers and aggressively build out new accounts.
Track sales activity, client interactions, and pipeline progress through CRM reporting tools.
What You’ll Bring:
A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the chemical or mold release chemical industry, preferably in a wholesale or industrial setting.
Strong hunter mentality and a track record of winning new business.
Proven ability to manage full-cycle sales in a B2B technical environment.
Comfortable in a technical, field-based sales environment where product knowledge and demonstration are key.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently within a defined territory.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and committed to learning a diverse product line.
Clear communication and consultative selling skills.
Base $80K-$95K based on experience plus commissions - company car provided.
