Professional Land Surveyor (PLS or PLS-in-Progress)

A local company is hiring a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS preferred) to contribute to a variety of residential, commercial, and municipal projects. Job Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, and as-built surveys
• Operate total stations, GPS, and robotic survey equipment with precision
• Record and process accurate field data; maintain detailed field documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and office staff to ensure smooth project execution
• Prioritize accuracy, efficiency, and jobsite safety

Qualifications

• PLS license or actively on the path toward licensure
• 3+ years of land surveying experience in the field and/or office
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, or related survey tools
• Experience operating total stations, GPS, and robotic instruments
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and comfort working in various outdoor conditions
• Leadership experience (Party Chief, Crew Lead) is a plus
