Survey Technician / Geomaticist

A well-established civil engineering and surveying firm is hiring a Survey Technician or Geomaticist. This is a full-time position for someone with three to eight years of professional experience who is ready to step into active projects with limited onboarding. The role requires a strong mix of field and office experience, top-tier technical ability, and a commitment to long-term career development.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Conduct boundary, topo, ALTA, and construction layout surveys
  • Operate Trimble GPS, total stations, and scanners (RT360 or P-Series 40 50 60)
  • Process data using Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D
  • Coordinate with project managers and support accurate deliverables
  • Support drone operations if certified

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering
  • Three to eight years of experience at a mid- to large-scale A and E firm
  • Proficient in Trimble software and Civil 3D
  • Solid field-to-office experience
  • Drone pilot certification preferred
  • Must be within forty-five miles of Huntsville or Birmingham, Alabama
