On-Site Civil Engineer

A well-established firm is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) to manage and oversee civil site development projects from concept through construction. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, lead a team of designers and engineers, and collaborate closely with owners, consultants, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise civil design staff for site layout, grading, utilities, and drainage projects.
  • Prepare and review site plans, calculations, and technical reports to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Coordinate with local agencies (AHJs) for permitting and approvals.
  • Lead teams to produce construction document packages and maintain project schedules.
  • Represent the company at client, owner, and contractor meetings.
  • Oversee QA/QC, RFIs, submittals, and site inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to resolve design and construction challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with 4+ years of civil engineering experience.
  • State Licensed, PE (or on track for PE Licensure)
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong understanding of permitting and zoning regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
