Job Description

Estimator/Project Manager

A well-established demolition and abatement firm with a national reputation is looking to add an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to their team. This group has been around for decades, has a strong safety culture, and is known for handling complex, large-scale jobs.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the pre-construction estimating side and being hands-on with project execution through the finish line.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Review drawings, specs, and proposals to scope out the job and prepare accurate cost estimates

  • Handle full-cycle project management: budgeting, scheduling, coordination, and closeout

  • Make regular job site visits to keep tabs on progress, safety, and quality

  • Submit change orders, purchase orders, and job-related paperwork

  • Work closely with field crews, subs, and vendors to keep things moving and on budget

  • Be a key part of safety culture — ensure everything stays compliant and above board

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and project partners

  • Help improve processes and drive efficiencies across projects

  • Occasionally travel to job sites as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience estimating and managing demolition projects

  • Background with industrial demo (power, rail, mill, refinery) is a big plus

  • Strong grasp of cost control, budgeting, and schedule management

  • Familiar with reading blueprints, specs, and doing takeoffs

  • Confident communicator with solid leadership and organizational skills

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Able to multitask, manage changing priorities, and lead from the front

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar is a bonus (but not required)

What You Can Expect:

  • A stable company with a great reputation and repeat clients

  • Team-oriented environment with people who take pride in their work

  • Interesting, challenging projects — no two jobs are the same

  • Full benefits package and strong long-term growth potential
